This powerful story, set in the 19th century, follows Christian, a young English poet, who comes to Paris to pursue a penniless career as a writer, joining the Bohemian revolution and the dark underworld of Paris' legendary Moulin Rouge. In this seedy but glamorous venue, Christian meets Satine, the club's star, and plunges into a passionate but ultimately tragic love affair as they prepare for their big performance.

IDOLISE

Semester 2, 2010

“Idolise” explores the way in which our society has become focused on consumerism, technology, materialism, and commercialism, and asks questions about what is really important. The dancers have utilized their own thoughts and opinions in the creation of the show, taking a hard look at their own generation.

CHICAGO

Semester 1, 2010

“Chicago” is a powerful story with great characters and themes for us to explore. Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart are two wannabe starlets who use murder as their vehicle to rise to fame. Lawyer Billy Flynn manipulates the jury and the press to grow his own wealth and reputation in their defence, and the three of them leave behind a trail of innocent victims, rising to fame through infamy.

Everyone enjoyed the journey through Funhouse, where we were terrified by the haunted house, challenged by the carnival games, entertained by the clowns, confronted by the house of mirrors, and thrilled by the rides!

ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND

Semester 2, 2009

This show was a perfect way to end our ten-year birthday celebrations. The students had a great time re-making this classic tale full of imaginative characters and scenes. We have an incredible and very talented community of young dancers who are a pleasure to work with and who do us proud every time they step on the stage.
