ABOUT THE GALLERY
Since 1999, the Tuggeranong Arts Centre gallery has been host to over 200 exhibitions from local and international artists and organisations.
The gallery plays an important role in the work of emerging artists and is always interested in hearing from artists and organisations wishing to exhibit work in a professionally supported venue. Because the gallery is situated in a multifunctional arts centre, gallery exhibitions are veiwed by a much wider and diverse audience.
The gallery is 55 sq metres, is air conditioned with ambient light from the large gathedral window and skylight. This is complemented by halogen track and spot lighting. The hanging system comprises fine high tensile wires and stainless steel spring loaded hooks capable of holding up to 30kgs each. This allows for the efficient and safe installation of artworks. The gallery also has a limited number of plinths.
The gallery is supported with professional and qualified staff who can offer advice and assistance if required. A curatorial package is available for those artists unable to install their exhibitions. Each June the Gallery calls for submissions in the local press.
