2024 Exhibition Call Out

Tuggeranong Arts Centre (TAC) is calling for applications from local and interstate artists and curators for the 2024 exhibition program. Applications close midnight, 31 May 2023.

TAC is a community based multi-arts facility located in Canberra’s south, managing three exhibition spaces, a 110 seat theatre, an art studio and two dance/performance studios.

We are looking for bold and exciting ideas from emerging and mid-career artists, groups and curators to deliver exciting solo or group exhibitions in a variety of disciplines and mediums. We ask applicants to deliver a community engagement component to run alongside their exhibition to further enrich or enhance the exhibition experience.

Exhibitions will run for 8 weeks to maximise audience engagement and critical exposure. To assist exhibitors to realise their artistic vision and assisting their professional development through public engagement with audiences from the Tuggeranong and broader Canberra community, successful applicants are provided with:

  • install and curatorial support,
  • catered opening and staff support for public events,
  • marketing support and collateral design,
  • gallery space invigilation and visitor services.

This year the Tuggeranong Arts Centre is pleased to offer successful applicants to the 2024 gallery program up to $1000 remuneration to deliver their solo exhibition and public program. For groups shows with public engagements, artists will be paid $500 each up to a maximum of $2500. A further $200 support for interstate travel or freight costs may also be considered on application.
Tuggeranong Arts Centre supports diversity.   • Exhibition Proposal (max 500 words or 3-minute recording)
  • Community Engagement Proposal (max 300 words)
  • Supporting media (max 10 images, videos, or audio)
