Brush Up is the perfect opportunity to explore your own creative ideas and develop your own studio practice or just dust off those paints in the spare room. Tutor and artist Sarah Murray will provide hands on instruction and feedback, to help guide your learning and teach or refresh your technical skills. Brush Up can be as directed/self-directed as your needs be and is open for all abilities, for beginners through to those wanting to extend their skills. Sarah will ensure that you are welcomed into judgment-free, safe space, where you can engage with fellow creatives and create art in community. All materials are provided, including paints, paintbrushes and paper (unless you prefer to bring your own).

About The Artist

Sarah Murray is an artist based in Canberra, Ngunnawal country, working primarily in drawing and painting. Their work explores a bodily experience of landscape, engaging the body within the time, space and place of the land. Sarah’s gestural and immersive works are made both in the studio and outdoors in the landscape. In 2021 Sarah graduated the ANU School of Art and design with first-class honours and since has been involved with various shows around Canberra and interstate.
