Matthew Clarke: Windy Wobbly Windfarms

Details:

Matthew Clarke is an artist living in Southwest Victoria. He has been practicing as an artist since 2005 but drawing for as long as he can remember. A 2021 finalist in the Archibald Prize, this is his first solo show in Canberra. Describing the work, Matthew said: “The exhibition is made up three works making up a triptych, which I use to express thoughts and feelings that flow into my work where I see beauty in windfarms and nature.  I am proud to bring my sense of creativity to Canberra for my first solo exhibition in Canberra. You may view the exhibition catalogue here.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

My name is Matthew Clarke. I am an artist living in Southwest Victoria. Wallabies have been running through my conscious and unconscious thoughts since 2012.

I am proud of my achievements as an artist. I have been drawing ever since I can remember. My life as an artist started in 2005. I am proud of my achievements including been a finalist in the 2021 Archibald prize. I thrive on Instagram @matthewclarke86_art
