Messengers Program: Eclectic Eccentricities

Exhibition Statement:

Fuelled by a common desire to create; the young people in the Messengers program have spent the year exploring a range of new artforms including sculpture, printmaking, textiles and more. Eclectic Eccentricities is a collaborative exhibition providing viewers with a peak into the peculiar perspectives of this diverse group of artists. This show is a celebration of achievements by our wonderful gang our youths.

About Messengers:

Messengers is a non-clinical support program for vulnerable young people and their families. The program offers weekly arts-based groups for young people aged 9 – 25 who are experiencing mental health, social isolation, and other issues. The program is informed by global research findings supporting the positive impact the Arts has on psychological and physical health.

The programs are specifically designed to improve psychological and social wellbeing. Participants are encouraged to explore and express themselves via a range of creative arts projects and find a place to belong in a safe and inclusive environment.
