In order to best respond to and manage the current COVID-19 pandemic, Tuggeranong Arts Centre is implementing measures to assist with virus spread and containment. Therefore, it is with regret that the Woden Arts Program has made the difficult decision to postpone the start date for the Hot Air Choir. This measures forms part of the social responsibility we have as a public program to protect our participants, staff, colleagues and any community members vulnerable to this virus. We hope to resume this wonderful project in the near future. For further information, please contact the Woden Arts Officer, John Hart on firstname.lastname@example.org
This is a unique opportunity for senior residents to work with choirmaster Dianna Nixon to form a Climate Action Choir.
Known for her work as a director, performer, vocal coach and arts activist, Dianna will work with participants to create and perform original songs about the effects of global climate change.
We will be looking for participants from February 2020, with choir practices to be held from March until May, culminating in a public performance later in the year.
There will also be an opportunity for participants to attend sustainability workshops run for the choir by the ACT Environment Centre.
If you are over 55 and are interested in participating, please contact John on:
