When:12 August - 23 September
The Horse Float of Ideas is a community arts project developed by Tuggeranong Arts Centre in which local artists and community groups work together to develop work for installation in a re-purposed horse float.
The horse float will become a unique, relocatable, experimental art space and the centrepiece of public events in Tuggeranong and beyond. It will be making its debut at the Arts Centre’s lakeside event on Saturday 25 November.
We are seeking a group of enthusiastic youth aged 14-25 to work with local artist Rebecca Selleck to develop work for installation in the Horse Float of Ideas.
The group will have the opportunity to develop their own work in response to the themes of costumes, cosplay, jockey’s silks, and horse-riding livery.
TAC welcomes participation from all members of the community including those who identify as gender and sexuality diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or culturally and linguistically diverse.
For more information or to register interest in participating in this series of weekly workshops in August and September, please email email@example.com
The workshops are held on Saturday afternoons from 1pm-4pm and afternoon tea is provided.
