The Gallery Program showcases work by local, regional and interstate artists. The Arts Centre is committed to exhibiting high quality exhibitions that engage with the ACT and region’s diverse community, current social issues and contemporary art practice.
The Arts Centre further supports local arts practice by offering Exhibition Awards through the ANU School of Art and Design Emerging Arts Support Scheme.
In 2020, our creative program will focus on the theme Solastalgia.
Solastalgia: as our homes and environments disappear in the face of destruction, dispossession and climate change, will art be a tool for action, a witness to desolation, or merely a salve for our anxieties?
Exhibiting artists in our 2020 Visual Arts Program include: Hannah Brontë, Nick Moir,
Emma Rani Hodges, Tony Curran, Waratah Lahy, Rory Gillen, Elizabeth Patterson, Annika Romeyn and Rebecca Mayo.
