Calling for Expressions of Interest – We Want To Work With You
Tuggeranong Arts Centre is now asking for expressions of interest for our 2020 gallery program.
In 2020, our creative program will focus on the theme Solastalgia.
Solastalgia: as our homes and environments disappear in the face of destruction, dispossession and climate change, will art be a tool for action, a witness to desolation, or merely a salve for our anxieties?
If you have a bold idea for an exhibition, community engagement project, event, public program or an art practice that engages with the theme Solastalgia, we want to hear from you.
Tuggeranong Arts Centre supports diversity. We welcome and encourage expressions of interest from: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, people living with a disability and people from the LGBTIQA community.
For your exhibition or project to be considered, for our 2020 Solastalgia Program, email the Visual Arts Program Manager, Karena Keys, with a short description (a couple of paragraphs) of your idea and who is involved at Karena.Keys@tuggeranongarts.com. You are welcome to submit a few images if you would like.
If your idea intrigues us, we will then be in touch to arrange a meeting to discuss it with you further.
In 2020 each of our exhibitions will have an extended run time of up to 8 weeks, to assist you in maximising on audience engagement and exposure. We encourage project ideas that engage with the Tuggeranong community.
