Known as ‘Mr Tim’ to many children, Tim Bevitt is a performer, composer and teacher with over 20 years’ experience. He studied at the ANU School of Music majoring in piano performance, gained experience in accompanying and conducting children’s choirs and competed at Diploma of Education (UC). He taught in the Young Music Summer school for many years as well as directing the program. During this time he developed his own programs including the Extravaganza Performance program in schools and began writing engaging music for primary aged children.
Mr. Tim has appeared in many festivals including the National Folk Festival and the Botanic Gardens Summer Sounds Series with his band ‘The Fuzzy Elbows’ and runs choirs with Ms Nat.
Recently he was commissioned by the ACT Department of Health to develop a healthy eating show, and the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) to write and record engaging music for students.
Along with Ms. Nat, Mr. Tim will be leading TAC’s Children’s Rock Opera performance development program in 2018.
