TAC’s Youth Theatre Company offers a range of term-based weekly drama and musical theatre classes for people of all ages.

Age: 8–14 years
Saturdays, from 10am. Commencing Saturday 5 February 202
Experience level: appropriate for all levels of previous experience, including beginner
Price: $500 per term
Inclusions: Weekly classes, Autumn & Winter Holiday Intensives, Performance Program


Mr Tim’s Musical returns to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre for 2022. Over the course of the year, students will have the opportunity to create an original musical. Term 1 starts off with skills building classes and a 2-day Autumn Holiday Intensive to develop the play building process. During Term 2, students will learn about characterisation techniques and audition for roles in the musical. The Term 2 holidays will offer students a Winter Intensive program to learn from industry professionals about set and costume design, lighting, sound, stage management and how musicals get made and produced. During Term 3 and 4, students will rehearse their original musical, before getting to perform in the Tuggeranong Arts Centre theatre to a public audience in mid-November. As part of this program, students will also have access to workshops with our professional touring theatre performances, as part of Tuggeranong Art Centre’s 2022 theatre season. These mentors will involve actors, writers and directors who work in professional interstate touring.

Thursdays, 4.30pm – 6pm. Commencing Thursday 3 February 2022,
Experience level: For students with previous performing experience
Price: $500 per term

These weekly classes aim to provide young actors with high-quality skills building and professional industry pathways. Participants will learn acting, voice, and play building technique and will participate in workshops with visiting industry artists as part of the Tuggeranong Art Centre’s 2022 Theatre season. The year will culminate in students devising an original local work, collaborating with local professional industry artists.
