No Place Like Home

No Place Like Home is a series of affordable, creative workshops which invite Woden and Gungahlin residents to connect with and shape the place they call home. Engage deeply with your surroundings while spending a Saturday morning learning from local artists. Each workshop is a fabulous opportunity to uncover hidden treasures in your own backyard through drawing, printmaking, photography, indigenous knowledge and more.

WHEN: Second Saturday of the Month in Woden and First Saturday of the Month in Gungahlin

COST: $20 per workshop. Bookings for the February workshops will open mid-January2022.

WHERE: Location to be advised

FOR: All ages, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

No Place Like Home workshops are open to all levels of artistic experience. Workshops are designed with adults in mind, but passionate children and young people are welcome too. However, please note that all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Artworks, photographs and quotes from participants in these workshops will be curated into an end of year community exhibition presented in both Woden and Gungahlin.

The exhibition will showcase our exploration and connection to place in these two very different suburban Canberra communities. All contributions to the exhibition are voluntary, and not a requirement of participating in the workshops.

Bookings for each workshop will open one month prior to the start date.

No Place Like Home is a collaborative program, brought to you by Gungahlin Arts and Woden Arts and is supported by the ACT Government through the Woden/Gungahlin Pop Ups program.
