Join Kamilaroi man and local cultural educator, Aaron Chatfield, for a winter workshop at Tuggeranong Arts Centre, overlooking the beautiful shores of Lake Tuggeranong. In this 1 hour workshop, participants will learn about local bush tucker and medicinal plants, as well as traditional tools and culture. There’ll be plenty of time for questions and participants will also get to try some Wattleseed cookies and Bush Tea made from local plants. *Please note, participants should be aware that the food products may contain allergens.

About Aaron Chatfield

Kamilaroi man, Aaron Chatfield is a First Nations cultural educator. An expert in local plant species as well as care and uses for plant life, he is a well-known community workshop facilitator, working with many local schools and organisations to improve Canberra’s understanding of connecting to land and plant ecosystems. Aaron is the director of local business, Dreamtime Connections.


Tickets are $25per person and include light refreshments. This workshop is suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult. Booking is essential.
